Hybrid insulation power for flat roofs – strong, safe, efficient: from a single source!

Fire protection meets thermal insulation

The hybrid insulation structure combines the best of both worlds:
The EVAROC® rock wool insulation board in the upper layer provides optimized fire protection, while the EVAPIR® insulation board made of rigid polyurethane foam underneath offers excellent thermal insulation.

This combination creates an innovative hybrid system from a single source with a slim profile, low weight, and good compressive strength—and all this as part of a complete roof structure.

For permanently secure and watertight roofs that impress in every respect—typical alwitra.

Benefits

• Slim roof structure with low heat transfer
• Excellent fire protection (from above)
• Temperature and dimensionally stable
• Complete roof structure from a single source

Whether for industrial buildings or flat roofs with PV systems, new buildings or renovations –
the hybrid roof structure impresses with its versatility and safety for every requirement and can be combined directly with EVATEC® Solar in the system.

Hybrid insulation structure – energy-efficient and easy to install

Our insulation materials are energy-efficient and easy to work with, and fit perfectly into the high-quality alwitra system.
Together with the EVALASTIC® and EVALON® roofing and sealing membranes, the low-fire-load EVAFOL SK vapor barrier, and the EVASTEEL® system components for drainage and ventilation, this creates a complete system from a single source. The EVATEC® Solar fastening system offers a secure and patented solution for the installation of PV systems.

Hybrid insulation build-up – all components from a single source:

EVAROC® Stone Wool

EVAROC® flat roof insulation boards made of stone wool offer more than reliable thermal insulation: they meet the requirements for preventive fire protection on all common substrates of single-layer, non-ventilated flat roofs. Their dual-layer characteristic with a highly compressed top layer makes them particularly resistant to mechanical loads.

Product benefits

  • Highly compressed top layer
  • Non-combustible, A1
  • Melting point > 1000 °C
  • Thermally insulating
  • High compressive strength
  • Vapour permeable
  • Chemically neutral
  • Dimensionally stable under temperature changes
  • Resistant to vermin, rot and fungal attack
  • Also available as tapered insulation board EVAROC® G with a 2% slope

EVAPIR® Polyurethane

EVAPIR® flat roof insulation boards made of rigid polyurethane foam with aluminium multi-layer facings on both sides impress with excellent insulation performance (WLS 023) at a low build-up height.
They are ideally suited for roofs with mechanically fastened waterproofing or loose-laid systems with ballast.
The low bulk density results in reduced static load on the roof structure, minimizes build-up height due to the lower insulation volume, and facilitates transport and installation – for cost-efficient insulation with strong performance.

Product benefits

  • High thermal insulation performance
  • Low build-up height, relatively low insulation weight
  • High compressive strength
  • Dimensionally and shape stable
  • Suitable for used roof areas in accordance with DIN 18531 (e.g. photovoltaic systems)
  • Also available as tapered insulation board EVAPIR® G with a 2% slope
