Against the backdrop of scarce spatial resources and their efficient use, constructional facilities are increasingly being installed on flat roof surfaces. Production lines and other operational facilities can thus be optimally designed. With the deployment of facilities on flat roofs, the areas for maintenance work and the routes to them are subject to greater stress. Therefore, it is a good idea to design these areas as inspection and maintenance walkways. EVALASTIC and EVALON maintenance walkway tiles are used to protect the waterproofing and to visually mark out maintenance routes on flat roofs.

The textured surface of the alwitra maintenance walkway tiles provides a strong grip, even on sloped and wet areas. Moreover, the tiles also provide for load distribution. Shifting of the maintenance walkway tiles, even with increased wind loads, is prevented by homogenously hot-air welding the tiles to the EVALASTIC® or EVALON® synthetic roofing membranes.

Non-slip surfaces and increased perforation protection of the waterproofing are essential requirements for the materials used in these areas. alwitra maintenance walkway tiles with their textured surface provide a strong grip, even on slightly sloped and wet surfaces. Shifting of the maintenance walkway tiles, even with increased wind loads, is prevented by homogenously hot-air welding the tiles to the EVALASTIC® or EVALON® synthetic roofing membranes. The visible delineation between roofing membrane and protective tiles has another advantage: it reminds people not to step onto the roofing membrane.
